I want to try it all.
I have been working in advertising for the last three years and a half.
I kind of just fell into it. My first agency job was at Brisbane's
largest independent agency - BCM.
They hired me for a video editor/shooter position. Prior to that I had just been working as a freelancer in South Australia and for small production houses on the Gold Coast and in Western Australia.
It was such an intense experience - I loved it. I very quickly became hooked. After a year, my then creative director, Marco Eychenne, moved to Sydney and took the position of ECD at Lavender. He invited me to come work for him again, so I moved down from Brisbane in February of 2013.
My skill set includes proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. I've been shooting with a Canon 5d MK II for the last 5 years and I've been expanding my camera knowledge ever since. I have also been developing my creative skills to include storyboarding, scamps, ideation and script-writing ...
So that I can become a stronger, well-rounded creative.
I've even had to step in as a last minute voice-over artist for a radio spot!
I've learned so many new skills and I'm still learning.
I haven't got it all figured out yet, but there's something I do know - I want to try it all.
Bright-eyed, pre-Agency Land Etienne. Circa 1992.
